MARIN CITY, CA August 31, 2026 – The revitalization of Golden Gate Village, Marin County’s only public housing community for families, has officially begun. The closing of project financing on August 19 secured the remaining funds necessary to undertake the $97.6M planned renovation for the first 88 homes. Financial close followed a rigorous review by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) which ensures federal environmental and historic preservation protections will remain in place throughout the revitalization.
