Burbank Housing is excited to announce the upcoming transformation of George’s Hideaway, a former tavern and restaurant located along Highway 116 in Guerneville, into a permanent supportive housing community.

Project Overview

  • Number of Units: 21 permanent supportive housing units
  • Navigation Center: In addition to housing, a navigation center will be established to provide essential services to residents and community members experiencing homelessness.
  • Target Residents: Households earning no more than 30% of the area median income for Sonoma County. For a one-person household, this equates to an annual income of $29,050 or less.

Timeline

  • Demolition: Commenced in December 2024
  • Construction Completion: Expected by late fall 2025
  • Occupancy: Anticipated to begin in late fall 2025

Supportive Services

West County Community Services will provide comprehensive supportive services, including:

  • Physical and behavioral health care
  • Case management
  • Assistance with housing and employment resources

Funding and Partnerships

This project is made possible through a collaboration of federal, state, and local funding sources, including Project Homekey, a state initiative aimed at expanding housing for individuals experiencing homelessness.
